Recently, a research has been conducted in the National Institute of Medicine established in the Hyderabad district. In this research, they took 14 fresh fruits. They concluded that Anti-oxidants, found in Guava are more than all other fruits.

Antioxidants are nutritious ingredients that protect cells from being destroyed. When the cells are destroyed, the skin damages and increase the aging effects. Wrinkles appear on the skin. Antioxidants eliminate these free radicals which cause these losses and disorders.

Amazingly, the amount of Vitamin C present in this fruit is also more than other fruits. The quantity of vitamin C in the Guava is 212 mg. While the most popular fruit for vitamin C “oranges” contains only 40 mg of vitamin C per 100 grams. If you eat 90 grams of guava daily, you can be met the daily need of vitamin C. Remember that Vitamin C is very necessary to maintain the skin health and the production of the protein “Collagen” found in the muscles. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that makes the immune system stronger and protects from cancer and heart diseases. However, if it became riper, the quantity of vitamin C decreases.

In Guava, Niacin and Potassium are also present in a large quantity which keeps the blood pressure moderated. In the pulp and seeds of Guava, there are soluble and non-soluble fibers are present in the form of Pectin. By eating Guava, the food consumes less blood sugar, due to which the blood sugar level at its normal. Guava has high fiber due to which it is good for patient who are suffering from diabetes. Research also shows that the diet with more fiber (about 4 to 5 grams in 100 grams), so, it greatly reduces the risk of diabetes type 2.
